SXSW EDU
At SXSW EDU 2026, Mike presented The Photovoice of Black Fatherhood to a national audience of educators, researchers, and innovators, sharing research that highlighted Black fathers as engaged and present partners while exploring strategies for more culturally responsive family engagement. CoCo also participated as an exhibitor, connecting with attendees and sharing resources throughout the conference.
Alaska Science of Reading Symposium
At the 2025 Alaska Science of Reading Symposium, Mike and Diana led sessions on family engagement and school-community partnerships, while Mike delivered the keynote Borrowed Boots and Glacial Truths to more than 400 educators and practitioners from across Alaska.
National Assembly for Family Engagement in Education
We served as emcee for the National Assembly for Family Engagement in Education, one of the nation's premier family engagement conferences. Working closely with conference leadership, we guided plenary sessions, connected themes across multiple days, and helped create an engaging experience for attendees from across the country.
