Alaska Science of Reading Symposium
CoCo delivered the keynote "Borrowed Boots and Glacial Truths" for more than 400 educators and practitioners at a statewide symposium in Alaska. Drawing on both lived experience and doctoral research, the presentation challenged attendees to rethink family engagement by meeting families where they are rather than expecting them to engage on the school's terms.
SXSW EDU
CoCo presented "The Photovoice of Black Fatherhood" to a national audience of educators, researchers, and innovators. The session centered original research that highlighted Black fathers as engaged, present, and often overlooked by educational systems, while introducing practical tools for building culturally responsive family engagement practices.
National Assembly for Family Engagement in Education
CoCo served as emcee for the National Assembly for Family Engagement in Education, one of the nation's premier family engagement conferences. Working closely with conference leadership, CoCo guided plenary sessions, connected themes across multiple days, and helped maintain energy and focus for attendees from across the country.
